ANODIZE
Anodized Aluminum

At Asheville Metal Finishing, we can anodize your material to help you create a superior product.  Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish.

Anodizing is a metal finishing process used to give aluminum a stronger surface that is very hard and exceptionally wear-resistant.

Anodize is done by covering the surface of the part both with a penetration and a build-up of aluminum oxide. Unlike paint, which can flake off if not applied properly, anodized finishes are actually formed from the original material. The aluminum can also be dyed at the end of the anodizing process to get a cosmetic, colored finish.

At Asheville Metal Finishing, we anodize parts in the following colors:

  • Blue

  • Red

  • Gold

  • Black

  • Green

  • Clear

Specifications:  Type II and Type III

Anodizing provides corrosion resistance and can give your product a glossy or metallic finish. Exterior anodic coatings prevent chipping and peeling from ultraviolet rays. The low maintenance cost and inexpensive finishing make anodizing an appealing option. Let our professionals help you find the best option for finishing your product.
